Classic Albums Live – Led Zepplin II
Back in the day (a few short years ago) I was not able to go see Led Zeppelin live. I loved their music, classic rock (google it young ‘uns). We’d wear out the needle on the turntable chilling out to bands such as Zeppelin. Many a school dance we’d attend where if you weren’t dancing to Stairway to Heaven at the end of the night well, let’s just say…..it was not a successful evening. Luckily for me, I was able to see Classic Albums Live – Led Zeppelin II AND photograph it.
It’s amazing how quickly you pick up the lyrics just like it was yesterday but you can’t remember why you just walked into a room. The talent pulled together for this group was outstanding and I’d have to say they nailed it big time! I thought I was watching, shooting and hearing the real Led Zeppelin.
For a week night, the Sanderson Centre was packed to the rafters with Zeppelin groupies on their feet many times applauding their performances song after song. I think I even heard the clinking of a few beer bottles rolling down towards the stage beneath the theatre seats (unconfirmed, possibly a flashback).
All in all it was a #BRANTastic evening to #BeSeen by#BScene. I’m changing all the radio stations in my car back to classic rock stations effective immediately. No more three word lyrics for this gal. I’m returning to the day when drums were drums, multiple guitars per musician were played and lyrics told a story and made sense. Rock on Garth, rock on!
Make sure to Be Seen enjoying all the great shows that the Sanderson Centre has to offer!
