Ethan’s 3rd Annual Lemonade Stand
Ethan’s 3rd Annual Lemonade Stand
It was a #BRANTastic and warm day on Saturday, May 28th – a perfect occasion for a cup of refreshing lemonade!
The parking lot of the SWEET Bakery and Strodes BBQ & Deli / Strodes Express plaza was packed as people lined up to get their lemonade and to experience the amazing activities. The crowds were welcomed by Ethan and a frenzie of lights from the Fire, Police and Ambulance trucks that came to show their support. And the kids were welcomed by Disney Princesses Ana and Belle as well as Thor, Captain America and Captain Jack Sparrow. People also had the chance to get their face painted and check out the fun activities from the Bellhallow LARP group and some axe throwing.
Ethan and his parents were thrilled to see so many people enjoying the event. This year they squeezed 800 lemons and used 60 pounds of sugar to make all the lemonade they needed for the event. They were also very grateful for the help they received from all the volunteers who donated their time to help out. And to all of the community supporters who donated prizes or items for the lemonade and raffle draw.
So far, Ethan has just made the half-way point in his efforts to raise one million dimes to find a cure for Juvenile Arthritis. After the event today, they’re hoping to make another big leap toward his goal. Thanks to the wonderful community support and from supporters who even came from Cambridge, Newmarket, and Niagara Falls, Team Ethan is sure to reach their goal soon.
Make sure to Be Seen donating lots of dimes to Ethan and enjoying some lemonade at next year’s event!
