“Bounce Back” Mental Health Week – Closing Ceremonies
Many folks gathered in Downtown Brantford‘s Alexandra Park on Friday, May 6th for the Closing Ceremonies of this year’sBrant’s Mental Health Awareness Week.
It was a great day to celebrate the end of a successful Mental Health Awareness week with a BBQ, faceprinting and camaraderie at Brantford’s Alexandra Park. Mental illness, domestic violence, assault, addictions, do not discriminate against race, religion, rich or poor, it affects us all. Some of us may keep it a secret, some may enable it or sometimes it’s full blown obvious there’s an issue. Regardless, if it’s you or a loved one there is help out there in our community for all of you, it’s just a phone call and appointment away. A wide variety of counselling, treatment and support groups are available for you and your family; you are not alone. There are places to turn to in our community that can help you.
Make sure to Be Seen learning more about Mental Health Week with many of these organizations in our community.
