Annaleise Carr’s swim was ended earlier than she had hoped this morning. After consultation with her swim coach and swim officials, they decided to end the Lake Erie crossing at Long Point in stead of Port Dover. Although it wasn’t the 75km the 16 year-old was hoping for, the swim is still being hailed as a huge success. The swim raised around $130,000 for Camp Trillium, and raised a great deal of awareness for the Foundation. Annaleise received a hero’s welcome as she arrived in Port Dover shortly after 5:00am by boat.
